Back & Spine Care

Back pain refers to any type of discomfort, pain, or tension in the back, which can range from mild to severe. It can occur anywhere along the spine, from the neck to the lower back, and can be caused by a variety of factors, including injury, poor posture, muscle strain, or underlying medical conditions. The pain can be acute, meaning it lasts for a short period of time, or chronic, meaning it persists for several weeks or months. Back pain is a common complaint and can affect people of all ages and lifestyles.

What Back & Spine Conditions Can Be Addressed?

At our state-of-the-art facilities, Dr. Dori specializes in addressing a comprehensive spectrum of back and spine concerns, ranging from serious spinal trauma to conditions like Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease, Disc Herniations, Degenerative Joint Disease, Facet Syndrome, and Radiculopathy. Dr. Dori is dedicated to providing expert care for these back and spine conditions as well as more at the North American Spine and Pain Institute.

Spinal Stenosis

Spinal stenosis is a condition where the spinal canal narrows, putting pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. Our minimally invasive procedures aim to relieve this pressure, reducing pain and restoring mobility.

Degenerative Disc Disease

Degenerative disc disease occurs as the spinal discs age and lose their cushioning properties. We offer innovative treatments to manage pain and restore function, helping you enjoy an active lifestyle.

Disc Herniations

Disc herniations happen when the inner material of a disc protrudes through its outer layer, often causing nerve compression and intense pain. Our surgical interventions target these herniations, providing lasting relief.

Degenerative Joint Disease

Also known as osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease affects the joints of the spine, leading to pain and stiffness. Our procedures can help alleviate discomfort and improve joint function.

Facet Syndrome – Facet Joint Arthritis

Facet syndrome is characterized by pain and inflammation in the facet joints of the spine. Our treatments, including facet joint injections, can effectively manage this condition and restore comfort.

Radiculopathy – Pinched Nerve(s)

Radiculopathy refers to nerve compression, which can result in pain, numbness, or weakness radiating from the spine. We specialize in pinpointing the source of radiculopathy and offering tailored interventions for relief.

Lumbar Microdiscectomy

This minimally invasive procedure is designed to relieve the pain caused by herniated discs. It involves removing the damaged disc material to alleviate pressure on the nerves and provide long-lasting relief.

Robotic Assisted Spine Surgery

At NASPI, we are proud to offer state-of-the-art robotic-assisted spine surgery. This innovative technology enhances the precision and accuracy of spine procedures, allowing for smaller incisions, minimal tissue disruption, and faster recovery times.

Lumbar Fusion

When more extensive spine stabilization is required, we offer minimally invasive lumbar fusion procedures. These techniques help treat conditions like degenerative disc disease and spinal instability, promoting faster healing and reduced post-operative discomfort.

Cervical Disc Replacement

For patients with cervical spine issues, we provide minimally invasive cervical disc replacement surgery. This procedure helps maintain motion in the neck while alleviating pain and restoring function.

Sacroiliac Joint Fusion

For individuals experiencing sacroiliac joint pain, our minimally invasive sacroiliac joint fusion procedure provides relief by stabilizing the joint and reducing inflammation.

Recovery After Minimally Invasive Surgery

Recovery times can vary depending on the specific procedure and individual patient factors. However, our commitment to minimally invasive techniques means that, in general, you can expect:

  • Shorter Hospital Stays: Most patients can go home same day or within a day or two after surgery.
  • Faster Return to Normal Activities: You’ll typically be able to resume light activities within a couple of weeks.
  • Less Pain and Discomfort: Smaller incisions and reduced tissue trauma mean less post-operative pain.
  • Personalized Rehabilitation: Our team will work with you to create a customized rehabilitation plan to optimize your recovery.

” I was involved in a bad motor vehicle accident back in September of 2022 and saw Dr. Dorri for the first time in January of 2023 and it is now August and I am about 80% relieved of the pain I thought would haunt me forever. Being a woman as active as myself, the thought of being slaved to pain, was a detriment to my day to day. I am so happy I was under Dr. Dorri’s care!! NASPI feels like home and even Dr. Dorri’s staff is great! Thank you Dr. Dorri!!! “

“After months of intense pain I was beginning to accept that this might be permanent, but Dr. Dorri and his staff have definitely turned that idea around. I have been making significant progress, and all of my fears about the procedures were calmed when they explained how ultrasound and other techniques were employed for extra layers of safety, which I greatly appreciated.

I’ll end with relaying and on-going thank you to not just Dr. Dorri but his amazing staff as well for taking care of me ever since this car accident knocked everything off-track. Looking forward to completing my treatment and getting my life back.”
